At the Thelma McMillen Recovery Center, we understand that adults and teens have unique stressors, concerns and pressures that can sometimes cause them to turn to alcohol or drugs. In addition to providing comprehensive substance use, abuse and addiction treatment, we also screen for a variety of mental health conditions, including:

• Anxiety
• Depression
• Trauma
• Other psychiatric disorders

In addition to providing intensive outpatient alcohol and drug treatment, our skilled team members have the expertise to provide comprehensive screening and treatment for these conditions that may be contributing to substance abuse. If necessary, our medical director can prescribe medications to manage withdrawal symptoms, addiction and mental health conditions.

Our center is connected with Torrance Memorial Medical Center, which gives our patients access to an array of resources and a network of expert health care providers including psychiatrists, psychologists, addictionologists, primary care providers and other specialists — all committed to helping you achieve optimal physical and mental health.
